Zero Waste Recycling – dressing robe

Price range: £20.00 through £90.00

Description

Zero Waste Pattern

If you watch the Sewing Bee you will have seen the episode on ‘Reduce, Reuse and Recycle’ week. ‘No’ or ‘zero’ waste patterns are where every piece of fabric from the meterage is used to make the design. There are no scraps or awkward offcuts! Some maths is often involved!

Recycled Fabrics

Every year we see oceans of fabric and clothes go to waste. I mainly shop in Vintage and charity shops, repurposing or upcycling clothes and fabrics. Our challenge is to find an old duvet / bed sheet and we will create a stunning, timeless, dressing robe. Obviously pick a fabric you love. It can be nice and thin like a cotton lawn or a brushed cotton. Check out charity shops or just raid your linen closet!
